How to download your Agregado Familiar Comprovativo from AT

Step-by-step: find your household composition record on Portal das Finanças and download the PDF to upload into Descodify.

About 3 minutes.

Your Agregado Familiar Comprovativo is the authoritative record of your household composition for a given tax year. AT uses it to calculate your IRS filing. Descodify accepts it as the strongest evidence for household confirmation.

Before you start

You'll need:

  • Access to Portal das Finanças, either your NIF + senha, Chave Móvel Digital, or Cartão de Cidadão reader
  • A desktop browser (the AT portal is not mobile-friendly)

Step by step

1. Open the Agregado Familiar page

Click this link: irs.portaldasfinancas.gov.pt/dadosagregadoirs/agregadofamiliar/consultar. If you're not signed in, AT will redirect you to the login form and bring you back to the right page afterwards.

2. Sign in

Pick your authentication method (NIF + senha is the most common) and sign in.

3. Pick the right year

After login you land on the Consultar Agregado Familiar page. Select the tax year you want to view. For your 2025 IRS filing (which you submit between April and June 2026), pick 2025. Click Pesquisar.

4. Identify your document

You'll see one or two rows for the year:

  • MGAG… (row labeled Pré-preenchimento), AT's automatic carry-forward from last year, published in late December.
  • AGR… (row labeled Confirmado), a record the taxpayer or a consultant actively submitted during Feb 1–15. Supersedes the MGAG.

If you have both for the same year, the AGR is the one to use.

5. Download the PDF

Click the download icon in the Comprovativo column of the row you want. The file is saved to your Downloads folder with a name like Comprovativo AGR1004015361.pdf.

6. Upload to Descodify

Back on the Confirm step of your IRS filing, expand "Something changed? Verify with AT" and drop the PDF into the upload zone. Descodify extracts the values and shows them alongside your previous filing so you can spot any differences.

If something goes wrong

  • Nothing shows up for the year you picked. AT hasn't published the pré-preenchimento yet, wait until late December of the prior year.
  • The download fails silently. Try a different browser or disable any VPN/extension that might block PDF downloads.
  • The PDF opens but doesn't parse in Descodify. That likely means AT changed the layout. Send us the file and we'll update the parser.
